Some weddings borrow their grandeur from a place, and Sandini and Anshuman’s borrowed it from a fort. They married at Tijara Fort Palace — sandstone ramparts and painted halls near Alwar, Rajasthan — across two days that ran from a marigold-yellow haldi to a red-lehenga wedding under the fort’s arches. A luxury fort wedding gives you the scale; we were there for the glance in the middle of it.
The fort, and the haldi. It began in colour — a courtyard dressed in yellow, teal arches and paper umbrellas, marigold heaped on every surface. Turmeric, laughter, and the two of them drenched in it. As a Tijara Fort wedding photographer, our job here is restraint: let the fort and the colour breathe, and wait for the people to fill them.

Getting ready. Then the quieter hours inside the fort’s painted rooms — a red lehenga laid out, Anshuman in the light of an old archway, Sandini becoming herself against frescoed walls.

The wedding. And then the weight of it. A baraat on horseback through the fort’s gardens, the dhol, the pink turbans; Sandini’s walk down a petal-strewn stairway; the varmala and the pheras on the ramparts, red against old stone. We don’t stage these moments, we catch them.

We don’t pose your wedding. We feel it.
The celebration. As night fell, the fort courtyard lit up — fairy lights strung between the arches, a champagne tower, a dance floor that didn’t ask permission. A fort wedding knows how to end a day: grand, close, and completely theirs. That is what a luxury fort wedding in Rajasthan can be. If you’re dreaming of a wedding at Tijara Fort or any of Rajasthan’s forts and palaces, we would love to photograph it.
